SCHOOL CLOSURE
Following the late announcement from the prime minister this evening, I am saddened to report that the school must move to online learning and that the school will only be able to open to vulnerable children and the children of critical workers.
In order to allocate places in a fair and organised way, and to prepare our limited numbers of laptops for those in need of home devices, we will remain closed to all pupils tomorrow.
First thing tomorrow, we will be issuing you with a form for you to detail your needs.
Priority will be given to vulnerable children, those with EHCPs and critical workers’ children starting with frontline NHS and emergency service workers.
We will try our utmost to allocate places to all critical workers and vulnerable who require them but will be limited by the need to have reduced numbers in order to keep children safe,
Therefore, we will be asking you whether you or your partner are able to work from home and whether you absolutely need a school place for your child.
The key worker list is extensive and we must prioritise need.
I am sorry that we will not be open tomorrow as we had planned but we hope to have everything in place tomorrow in order to reopen for certain children on Wednesday.
There is initial work online for all children to access and more will be uploaded tomorrow.
Please be patient with us as we are also awaiting further instruction from our local authority
Thank you
